Bio

Ajia Paolillo is the UF/IFAS Multi-county Citrus Extension Agent for DeSoto, Hardee, and Manatee counties. Prior to her Extension appointment, Ajia has most recently worked for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Plant Industry, as a Citrus Nursery Inspector. There she was responsible for completing monthly inspections of the commercial citrus nurseries around the state. Her experience also includes working at the UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center for the Citrus Extension program and as a Lab Technician, participating in rootstock research. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Florida Southern College in Citrus-Business. She earned a Master’s degree from the University of Florida in Agricultural Education and Communication. Ajia is ready to work with growers by providing resources they need, assist with issues they face, and learn the production practices used in her area.
